Dr. Starnes Walker, DHS S&T Director of Research

A veteran of the Office of Naval Research, now appointed to fulfill the research mission of the DHS Science & Technology Directorate, Dr. Starnes Walker will provide insights into the incorporation of DHS-funded into the homeland security enterprise.

THE DHS S&T MISSION AND THE ROLE OF STUDENT PROGRAMS

DHS S&T Under Secretary Jay M. Cohen

Forging a more expansive pathway for the involvement of DHS-funded students in the DHS S&T Directorate, Under Secretary Cohen will describe the role of students in fulfilling the mission of DHS S&T and its six research divisions.

Select students and alumni of DHS Student Programs and the DHS University Network of Centers and Research Initiatives will describe their in-progress and completed research relative to the overall DHS mission and the connectivity of their research with the missions of the six research divisions of the DHS S&T Directorate.
